This walk takes you over Idsworth Down and on to Chalton Down which reaches a high point of 145 metres. The walk is 3.8 miles long. Just before the end of the walk there is St Hubert’s Church in the middle of a field. The church dating back to 1053 is well worth visiting as there are some 14th century painted murals on its internal walls. There are several footpaths so I recommend taking a map with you, preferably an electronic one with GPS. There is a verge where a small number of cars can be parked at the start position (GPS 50.92093, -0.94708 - OS: SU741140) shown by a red flag on the map.
