This walk reaches a high point of 242 metres after a gentle climb to the top of Beacon Hill. The walk is 3 miles long there and back. There is a lovely avenue of copper beech trees on the way. I recommend taking a map with you, preferably an electronic one with GPS. You can park your car on the grass verge by the road avoiding the gate and footpath at the start position (GPS 50.93954, -0.84932 - OS SU809161 - 140m) shown by a red flag on the map, or in North Marden across the other side of the road near St Mary’s Church entrance.
