For Application Launching, Desktop Customisation and Multi-Pinboard loading and saving
The main purpose of !HighWay is to have your most regularly used applications, directories and files from many filing systems easily available. It enables the user to set startup actions etc to them. Just drag your desired objects into the HighWay filer type window from where they can be set to do a multitude of things, either at the time or also at computer startup.
Suitable for use with Acorn RISC OS 3.10 and above
- APPLICATIONS can be RUN or set to be BOOTED or RUN on startup.
- FILES can be RUN or set to RUN on startup if required.
- MODULES can be RMEnsured.
- DIRECTORIES can be set to be OPENED or CLOSED.
- A SPRITE file can be set to be a BACKDROP just by double-clicking on it.
- Up to eight named PINBOARDS with or without their own backdrops can be easily saved or loaded with a simple click. A chosen one can be automatically loaded on computer startup. On RISC OS 4 or 5 just save a Pinboard by dragging its save icon to the HighWay icon bar icon.
- * Commands can be set to be operated by just a double-click.
- Different HighWay setups can be used for named users.
- HighWay can be set to start automatically.
- Objects in the HighWay window can be placed in the order YOU want them, or some can even be hidden if required.
- Multiple objects can be acted upon. - eg. Run all selected applications.
- Multiuser network compatible. - Each network user can have their own setups and settings etc.
- You can customise the name under the HighWay icon on the icon bar.
- Automatic Pinboard saving option. (not with RISC OS 4 or 5 Pinboard module)
- Screen Modes can be attached to Pinboards.
- Groups of Filer objects can be 'Run' in one go from a HighWay Group File.
To take full advantage of HighWay you need access to a local or networked hard disc
